 Learn how to report features and make comparisons based on a table or a diagram.

 Tips

•  Write numerals in numbers

•  Give percentages

•  Refer to a table and diagram

•  Use a variety of structures

for • making comparisons, e.g. slightly more than, as … as, compared to, double the number of, nearly, roughly, almost

for • reporting, e.g. in terms of …, as for …, half, a/the majority, a/the minority, a third part, a quarter of respondents

•  Both variants of spelling are correct: percent (AE), per cent (BE)

•  Write ‘50% of the students’ with the definite article
